National Entrance Screening Test

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) a required online test that applicants to the 5-year Integrated M.Sc. programmes at the National Institute of Science Education and Research of India (NISER Bhubaneswar) and Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai), choose either the compulsory basic sciences programme by the Department of At NEST has a goal to test the degree of comprehensive understanding, analytical skills and capacity in basic sciences of the student. 

A test contains 100 multiple-choice questions distributed into 3 proportions and a subject combination of Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics over 150 minutes. The score of the NEST exam is solely used for pre-admission selection and  include the interview as a part of the admission process. NEST 2023 results are expected to be announced in June 2023 which will be at the official website. NEST 2024, which is expected to be held in second week of June 2024, will take place in centers allotted for the purpose in India. It will be announced that the NEST 2024 will be conducted on the website of official NEST test, much before the day of examination.

- PwD Certificate: Documents needed for disability certificate scan issued by qualified medical officer and persons with disabilities to have concessions.

- Payment: The choice of payment options like net banking, credit/debit card would be available to the fee payers. Such fees shall be paid during filling the application form.
