The VMAT is a management aptitude test that is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology University in India for all those candidates interested in pursuing MBA and other post graduate management courses in the VIT Business School and other branches/centers. Computer-based tests are designed to measure a candidate’s quantitative ability, verbal ability, logical reasoning and general knowledge/ current affairs. Currently, VMAT is among the most popular and competitive MBA entrance tests in India which sees more than one lakh candidates every year. Conducted many times in a year and recently implemented through online proctoring facilities.
The exam format is proctored and it takes 2 hours to complete with 125 questions in total. It is also important to note that VMAT test results are normally released within 5 working days from the date of the test. Apart from MBA, a good VMAT score also helps one to gain admission into various other post graduate courses such as Master of Healthcare Management, Master of Digital Business and the likes. The Important VMAT exam dates for admission year 2024 are first week of December – second week of December 2023 second week of January 2014, and first week of February 2014 for the University Business School and its four satellites campuses at Chennai, Bhopal, Amaravati and Lakhnow.

1. Registration: This can be done on the official website of VMAT then selecting the registration button. It is usually easy to create an account and this can be done by inputting your email address, mobile number etc.
2. Login to virgin mobile application – To apply for VMAT, you should first log into your virgin mobile account with the help of your username and password. This is especially the case when giving specific details such as your personal information, qualification, the center of your choice and others.
3. Scanned Photograph, Signature, Grade 10 and 12 Mark Sheets: Upload the scanned images of your photograph, signature and your class 10 and 12 mark-sheet as per the guidelines.
4. Attached Some Documents – Upload some of the documents like passport size photograph, signature, category certificate, etc. The fee is around Rs 2,200 They provide a basic looking fee structure where the fee for the first year is Rs 1,500 and the fee for the second year is Rs 3,500.
5. Last Name, First Name – Candidate Number – Confirmation Page Printing – This is the final confirmation page of the applicant’s application once the application is successfully submitted.
6. Test Dates and Timings – After registering for the exams, candidates are slated to choose the specific dates and times for their tests, depending on the available slots at the exam centers of their preferences.
