The UPSSSC is a commission in Uttar Pradesh that is in charge of the recruitment of Auditors through a test for different Auditor positions for various departments and ministries of the Uttar Pradesh government. The examination conducted by UPSSSC for Auditor is at the state level and is divided into a preliminary examination, written examination, and mains examination for candidates qualifying for the mains examination. The exam aims at evaluating general aptitude, mental ability, mathematical abilities, statistics, accounting, auditing knowledge and other such related areas.
It was also pointed out that the UPSSSC has normally conducted the Auditor exam at least once each year based on its needs. In regard to the 2024 Auditor vacancies, the screening test is likely to be administered in mid 2024. The competition also improves because over 6000 auditor vacancies exist for different UP government accounts and audit departments by the time of the 2024 exam. For the preliminary exams, the results take about a month to be out, while for mains exam for shortlisted candidates; it comes out a month later. The last choice shall be made from the results of the performance in the tests mentioned above. The whole process of recruitment takes a time frame of 3-4 months. The last step of hiring the selected candidates for the 2024 Auditor posts may be expected to happen only in 2024 or early 2025 after clearing all the formalities like document verification, etc.
