The UPSC Civil Services examination is a prestigious and highly competitive assessment conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in India. This examination serves as the gateway for recruitment into various key administrative positions within the Indian government. Comprising three stages—Preliminary, Main, and Interview—the exam rigorously assesses candidates' aptitude, knowledge, and personality traits.
The Preliminary examination consists of two objective papers, testing general studies and aptitude. Successful candidates proceed to the Main examination, a written assessment comprising nine papers, including essay writing, general studies, and optional subjects. The final stage is the Personality Test (Interview), which evaluates candidates' communication skills, critical thinking, and overall suitability for administrative roles.
