TS PECET (Telangana State Physical Education Common Entrance Test) is an entrance exam conducted at the state level by Mahatma Gandhi University on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) to provide admission opportunities in the colleges and universities in Telangana to students in Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) and Diploma in Physical Education (DPEd) The test is devised to see the students' aptitudes in sports and their physical fitness competencies in order to select the candidates for admission into various physical courses.
The Physical Efficiency Test, along with the Physical Fitness Test are conducted to assess the candidates' athletic potential. The physical skills test comprises of different sports such as athletics, basketball, football, hockey, handball, etc. Students take part in this test to test their capabilities. The test of physical fitness measures parameters like strength, speed, agility, endurance. This is done by use of various activities such as sprints, push ups, sit ups among others. In 2024, it will be announced, and applications will be open in March. The exam will certainly take place in June of 2024. The outcome of the poll will be available on the official website the 24th of July, 2024 at pecet.tsche.ac.in. The final steps towards seat allotment with an authorized college will be counseling sessions mandated. The TS PECET offers an opportunity to choose candidates who have the best physical endowment, aptitude, strength and stamina with the aim for them to pursue professional physical education in Telangana.

It is for admissions to Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) and Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed) courses in Telangana.
For B.P.Ed, candidates must have completed their undergraduate degree, while for D.P.Ed, candidates must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent. Additionally, there is an age limit and fitness test that candidates must meet.
Applications are submitted online through the official TS PECET website. Fill out the application form, upload required documents, and pay the application fee.
The exam consists of a physical efficiency test and skill test. The physical efficiency test evaluates the candidate's fitness, while the skill test assesses proficiency in the sport they have chosen.
The skill test typically includes sports like kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, basketball, cricket, and others. Candidates select the sport they wish to be tested in during the application process.
Admit cards can be downloaded from the official TS PECET website. Log in using your application credentials to access and print your admit card.
TS PECET results are usually announced a few weeks after the exam. Check the official website for updates on the result announcement.
Candidates are scored based on their performance in the physical efficiency test and skill test. The combined score determines their rank.
Candidates who qualify the exam are called for counseling based on their rank. During counseling, candidates select their preferred course and college.
Preparation includes working on physical fitness and practicing the chosen sport for the skill test. Review the exam guidelines and past exam patterns for a better understanding.
