The State University Entrance Test (SUNIX) is a centralized examination coordinated by the State University Council (SUC) to admit students to various programs in state universities of the state every year. The SUNET exam provides tests on mathematical, physical, chemical and biological sciences, English grammar, Indian and world geography, and logical ability at the 10+2 level.
The SUNET exam is conducted in the month of May each year and it is one of the toughest examinations in the country where over 1,50,000 students compete for approximately 40,000 seats for all the states in different universities. The 3-hour written paper is written in one setting and administered at various examination centres in all major cities of the state. The SUNET scores are usually released in June and the candidates can apply to the universities of their choices with regard to the SUNET scores they have gotten and the type of undergraduate programs that they intend to pursue.

1. Check Eligibility
To begin with, you need to determine whether you qualify for the UGC guidelines for appearing in SUNET. These include grounds associated with age, academic achievement, etc.
2. Registration and Application
After you have determined that you meet the requirements, you have to sign up at the official SUNET website during the application period. The most common pattern is when registrations are opened 6-8 months before the examination. To apply for any of these positions, you should complete the online application form and attach scanned documents and application fees.
3. Downloading Admit Card
When applying online, you need to fill in the form and submit it, and in most cases, you can download your admit card/hall ticket which is normally issued one or two months to the exam. The admit card is an important document, which a candidate requires, while appearing for an examination.
4. Taking the Exam
Last but not the least, a candidate needs to appear for the exam at the designated exam center at the date and time stipulated on the admit card.
