SSC conducts the Junior Engineer (JE) Electrical Engineering (EE) exam based on the annual calendar prepared by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment of the JE (Electrical) posts under various government departments and ministries. It is the most of the popular engineering exams in India and is a part of many electrical engineering graduates’ career ladder with thousands of them appear for it every year.

The SSC JE EE exam is constituted of two phases - Paper 1 tests the capacity of logical reasoning and knowledge of the basic general intelligence and paper 2 examines the technical and engineering term specific to the electrical engineering domain. The aspirants are required to clear a written test and the interview round to warrant the selection. Exam is of medium-high level of complexity.

The SSC JE EE examination result of year 2022 was announced by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in the month of October in 2022. Of about 1.4 lakh candidates that had appeared for the June 2022 exam, only a few kilos cleared the exam. The preliminary dates for the SSC JE exam 2024 are unable to be announced by the commission yet. A common exam generally conducted in June is to be held every year and the dates are released 6-8 months in advance on the official website of SSC along with the opening of the notification and the application form.
