The Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) exam is a national exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment into the Grade B and C category posts under different Government Ministries and Departments or their attached or subordinate organizational units and offices. The minimum educational qualification needed to be eligible for the SSC CGL exam is graduating from a reputed institute or university. The assessments comprise of four levels of difficulty that is hard, medium hard, difficult, and very difficult. Tier-1 is a subject specific objective test which tests a candidate's general intelligence, reasoning, general awareness, quantitative abilities, and vocabulary skills in English.
Candidates passing Tier-1 will then be summoned for the Tier-2, which is made up of a subjective and descriptive paper section, where the candidate's writing skills as well as job-related knowledge domains are assessed. The final step is Tier-3 exam, during which a candidate needs to get his/her data entry or typing speed tested. In the FINAL stage of the procedure which is the Tier-4 stage, a document verification and medical examination are performed. At the end of the examination system the cumulative marks of Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 are summed up as the final merit list. Results for SSC CGL 2022 are most likely to be released in March. The Staff Selection Commission has made public that it is planning to conduct the CGL 2024 Exam from May-June 2024 in its computer-based mode.
