What is SRMHCAT?

SRMHCAT stands for SRM University Haryana Common Aptitude Test. It is an entrance exam conducted by SRM University Sonepat, Haryana for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses in engineering, management, law, and commerce.

The SRMHCAT exam is a computer-based test (CBT) with a duration of 150 minutes. It consists of 100 questions divided into 5 sections:

  • Quantitative Aptitude (QA) - 20 questions
  • Logical Reasoning (LR) - 20 questions
  • Verbal Ability (VA) - 20 questions
  • Data Interpretation (DI) - 20 questions
  • General Knowledge (GK) - 20 questions

Eligibility Criteria for SRMHCAT

  • For UG courses:
    • Must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
    • Must have passed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for UG medical courses
  • For PG courses:
    • Must have passed a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
    • Must have passed the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Common Admission Test (CAT) for PG management courses

In addition to the above, the following are also eligible to apply for SRMHCAT 2024:

  • Candidates who have appeared for Class 12 or equivalent examination in the current year and are awaiting their results.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of their bachelor's degree and are expected to graduate by June 2024.

SRMHCAT Selection Process

  1. Application: Candidates must apply online through the official website of SRM University Sonepat. The application process is expected to start in April 2024.
  2. Eligibility: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to be eligible to take the SRMHCAT exam. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
    • For UG courses:
      • Must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
      • Must have passed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for UG medical courses
    • For PG courses:
      • Must have passed a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

SRMHCAT 2024 admit card

The SRMHCAT 2024 admit card will be released in the first week of June 2024. Registered candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the official website of SRM University, Delhi-NCR Haryana. The admit card is an important document and must be carried by the candidates to the exam hall. It will contain the following information:

  • Name and signature of the candidate
  • SRMHCAT roll number
  • Test date and time
  • Reporting time at the venue
  • Venue name and address
  • Instructions for the exam

SRMHCAT 2024 Exam

The SRMHCAT 2024 exam date is tentatively scheduled for the 4th week of June 2024. The official exam dates will be announced by SRM University, Delhi-NCR Haryana closer to the exam date.

SRMHCAT 2024 Results

The SRMHCAT 2024 results are expected to be declared in the first week of July 2024. The official results will be announced by SRM University, Delhi-NCR Haryana on their website. Registered candidates will be able to check their results by entering their login credentials (email ID and password).

SRMHCAT 2024 Syllabus

  • Data Interpretation: This section will test the candidate's ability to interpret data presented in tables, charts, and graphs. The questions will be based on topics such as bar graphs, pie charts, line graphs, and histograms.
  • Quantitative Techniques: This section will test the candidate's knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. The questions will be based on topics such as percentages, ratios, proportions, logarithms, and equations.
  • Logical Reasoning: This section will test the candidate's ability to solve logical puzzles and reasoning problems. The questions will be based on topics such as syllogisms, analogies, and classifications.

SRMHCAT 2024 Counselling

  1. Seat Allotment: The first step in the counselling process is the seat allotment. The candidates will be ranked based on their performance in the SRMHCAT 2024 exam and their preference for courses. The seat allotment will be done in a centralized manner by SRM University, Delhi-NCR Haryana.

  2. Payment of Fees: Once the seat is allotted, the candidate will have to pay the admission fee. The fee structure will be different for different courses.

  3. Document Verification: The candidate will have to submit the original documents for verification. The documents required for verification are as follows:

    • Marksheet of the qualifying examination
    • Character certificate from the school/college
    • Proof of date of birth
    • Proof of residence
    • Passport size photograph
  4. Choice Locking: The candidate will have to lock their choices of courses and colleges. The choices will be locked in a descending order of preference.

  5. Reporting to the College: Once the choices are locked, the candidate will have to report to the allotted college for admission. The candidate will have to bring the following documents with them:

The eligibility criteria for the different courses offered by SRM University, Delhi-NCR Haryana are as follows:

  • Undergraduate Courses:
    • BBA: The candidate must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
    • B.Tech: The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
    • B.Com (Hons.): The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Commerce as one of the subjects and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
    • LLB (Hons.): The candidate must have passed 10+2 with English as a compulsory subject and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • Postgraduate Courses:
    • MBA: The candidate must have passed a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
    • M.Tech: The candidate must have passed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
    • LLM: The candidate must have passed a Bachelor's degree in Law with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
