The examination of the National Defence Academy (NDA) Group C is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and is taken twice in a year in order to recruit individuals to the technical and non technical jobs available in the Indian Armed forces. The written test consists of objective type questions for the posts in Group C civil services in NDA and interview is also conducted. The written test is basically about general intelligence, basic numeracy, general English, general awareness and the issues that are specific to the post the candidate is applying for. The opportunity available for the candidates in Group C in the armed forces through NDA exam include clerks, store keeper, fireman, tradesman and other ministerial jobs.
Unfortunately, the examination schedule for the NDA Group C written exam for 2024 is not yet available However, it is expected to be held in April and September 2024. The next NDA Group C exam notification may come out in February 2024, and, as usual, the information will be available on the official UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in. The next step is that after the declaration of the result of the written test, the candidates who are selected go through the interview process. The final merit list is then prepared taking into consideration the performance of the candidates in both the written test and interview. There is a provision of providing different service wings and training academies to the selected candidates depending upon the number of vacancies available. Over all, the whole selection procedure normally takes about 3-4 months from the time the exam is called to appointment of the successful candidates.
