Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PG CET) will be conducted by the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER) for admissions to various postgraduate courses in agriculture, horticulture and related areas, offered by agricultural universities of Maharashtra state, India The MCAR PGCET is a competitive exam, which has 150 MCQ questions based on agriculture across the subjects like agronomy, entomology, plant pathology, animal husbandry and biotechnology.
Annually, more than 25,000 candidates appearing for the MCAET PG-CET for approximate 3,800 seats across Maharashtra. The examination is mostly conducted in the second week of May and the results are declared in the third week of June as well. For MCAER PG CET 2024 admissions process, the exam date is likely to be in middle of May 2024. MCAER PG CET 2024 is tentatively scheduled to declare results by the end of June 2024, approximately two weeks after the specified period. As the result of the MCAER PG CET score, applicants who qualify will be members of the counselling rounds which take place state-wide. The purpose of the exercise will be to secure a space in the various university courses available in Maharashtra state.
The candidate must have passed the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) or a bachelor's degree in a related field from a recognized university.
The candidate must have a minimum of 50% ag3regate marks in the BCA or equivalent degree.
The candidate must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) or the State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by the UGC or the State Government, as applicable.
