Maharashtra Hotel Management Common Entrance Test

MAH BHMCT CET is a state level entrance test which provides admission to Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) and Hotel Management (HM) courses in various colleges and institutes of Maharashtra. The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra is the conducting authority for conducting this entrance exam. This is the entrance exam for admission to both diploma and certification programs in Hotel Management and Catering Technology offered by different paramount Institutes in the state of Maharashtra. 

The MAH BHMCT CET exam which is an entrance exam will have two papers, Paper 1 which is being the General knowledge and aptitude test and Paper 2 will contain Mathematics, English and Hospitality Awareness, as its name indicates. The exam is multiple choice and it is subjective. In order to get registered for Maharashtra Board of Technical Education BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology), the candidate should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination securing at least 45 percent marks.

There was an excessive number of 37000 students who appeared for the MAH-BHMCT CET exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra in the months of July and August in 2022. Results were released on the last day of September 2022 on the Internet portal. Some lucky students were given their further documents for admissions as of this October and finally achieved their goals of admission in hotel management colleges.

MAH BHMCT CET Overview 2024 FAQs

MAH BHMCT CET is an acronym of the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Bachelor's level in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. It is an entrance test in the State common examination involving the State CET Cell, Maharashtra for the BHMCT courses admission in the state.

Aspirants who have cleared 12th class or had equivalent exams from any suitable board can apply. There is no upper age limit or bottom age limit to register and vote.

The Principal includes paper with Multiple Choice Questions in the subjects of Maths, GK, English, Hindi, Hospitality Aptitude and Logic in the exams. The overall marks for this exam is 200.

The aforementioned subjects are covered in the syllabus that consists of Mathematics at the 12th grade, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English and Hindi grammar, logical reasoning, and topics related to the hospitality sector.

You may submit an application online on mahacet.org any time after the announcement of dates for online application. Rental payment can be made through credit or debit card, internet banking or cash via the challan that can be generated online.

The bona fide exam due date takes place on the spot. It is the annual event, in principle taking place in the month of May.
