The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) recruits Staff Nurses through written examination every year for the post of Staff Nurses in different Hospitals and Healthcare Centres of Karnataka state. The exam is in written form and also an interview on the results of the written test. The written exam is conducted in the form of multiple type questions and comprises general intelligence test, general awareness test, English language test, arithmetic ability test and nursing subjects related questions.
After the written examination, the candidates who are selected by the board move on to the interview stage. In order to be selected in each stage of the recruitment process, the recruit needs to obtain specific qualifying scores. The final merit list is prepared out of the total marks obtained by the candidates in both the KPSC Staff Nurse written examination as well as the interview.
According to the latest update, KPSC is likely to release the preliminary notification for the Staff Nurse examination in late 2023. The written test is generally held in the time period June-July and usually the results of the written test are declared within one month’s time. The offering institutions send joinery letters to selected candidates at end of that year or early next year. KPSC has not released the precise date of the examination and the schedule for 2024 in the KPSC notification to be issued next year. As for the changes in the dates or any other information, a candidate has to visit the official page of the KPSC repeatedly.
