Nationality

• The candidate should be a citizen of India.

Educational qualification

• The candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• The candidate should have secured at least 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Minimum age

• The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2023.

Age relaxation

The following age relaxations are applicable to the following categories of candidates:

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years
• OBC candidates: 3 years
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years

Other conditions

• The candidate should not have been debarred from appearing for any examination conducted by the CEE, Kerala.
• The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination in one sitting.
• The candidate should have secured at least 25% marks in each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Documents to prove Nativity for KEAM 2024

1. Nativity Certificate: The primary document to prove nativity is the Nativity Certificate issued by a competent authority. This certificate is usually issued by the Village Officer, Tahsildar, or Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO). It confirms the candidate's Kerala nativity status.

2. Certificate from the School: Some candidates may use a certificate from their school or educational institution, confirming their Kerala nativity. This document should be issued by the Head of the Institution and include specific details about the candidate's place of birth and residence.

3. Passport: If a candidate was born in Kerala and has a passport with the place of birth mentioned as a Kerala location, it can be used as proof of nativity.

4. Birth Certificate: A birth certificate issued by the local authorities in Kerala that mentions the candidate's place of birth can also serve as proof of nativity.

5. Ration Card: A ration card with the candidate's name and a Kerala address may be accepted as proof of nativity.

6. Domicile Certificate: In some cases, a domicile certificate issued by the state government or a competent authority may be used to establish nativity.

7. Parent's Documents: If a candidate's parents are natives of Kerala, their documents such as nativity certificates, birth certificates, or other documents can be used as supporting evidence.

KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2024: For Board Toppers

General:

• The candidate should be a citizen of India.
• The candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• The candidate should have secured at least 90% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2024.

Reserved Category:

• The candidate should belong to one of the following reserved categories:
  • Scheduled Caste (SC)
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC)
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
• The candidate should have secured at least 85% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2024.
