Karnataka counseling exam or NEC stands for is the process by which the students who have been selected in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ( NEET ) are eligible to obtain a seat for admission in the undergraduate medical and dental programmes that are offered in colleges across Karnataka. On the basis of the candidate's NEET score, labels, rank in the merit list, as well as, reservation policies and the seats’ availability, they are then assigned the seats through consecutive rounds of counseling.
Registration, filling choices, getting seat allotted, reporting at the allotted college to complete admission, and then rounds are done to upgrade if existence of a desire. KEA(KERA) declares NEET counseling schedule for Karnataka in June every year and it is usually announced on June 14.
The Results of NEET 2024 are expected to be announced in the first week of June 2024 onwards as prescribed by the latest NEET exam pattern. This is followed by the outlining of Karnataka NEET counseling in the last week of June of that year. The counseling process may run up to April, in case of the availability of stray vacancies which sparks the need of the counseling. Important dates such as the time and method of registration for Karnataka NEET 2024 counseling will be officially declared before the actual date by KEA in the end of the day according to guidelines of the state's government and the apex court of India.
