The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, abbreviated as JSSC, organizes the Jharkhand Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) examination each year to select suitable candidates for the teaching posts in the secondary and higher secondary government schools in Jharkhand. The JSSC PGT test is in the written mode, but it is followed by an interview round for candidates who pass the written examination. The written test is set in the form of multiple choices of objective type questions on aptitude, reasoning, general information and subject knowledge of Mathematics, Science, Humanities etc., depending on the course and specialization the candidate has applied for.
JSSC PGT Exam is one of the most famous teaching recruitment examination of Jharkhand with more than one lakh aspirants appearing every year because of better pay scale and job satisfaction in government school vacancies. According to official notification, the JSSC has prepared to released the application forms of the 2024 PGT exam in mid-2023. The written test should be held between October- December 2024. The final merit list and selection results portraying qualified candidates for different subject PGT posts is expected before February 2025. The selected candidates will be posted for teaching as PGT teachers in different government schools functioning under Jharkhand with remunerations as per pay scale and allowances permitted under the state government rules and regulations.
