The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission is a well-known organization responsible for conducting the Grade A Nurse examination to select nurses working in different government hospitals and health care facilities located in Jharkhand. The examination is one of the many that is taken by nurses in the state and is highly popular among them. The JSSC Grade A nurse exam involves writing examinations made up of questions from nursing areas of specialty such as fundaments of nursing, medical-surgical nursing, obstetrics and gynecology nursing, pediatrics nursing and anatomy & physiology.
The written examination is of 150 marks for 150 multiple type questions.. The candidates are required to pass the written test by scoring at least 40% of the total marks and qualify physical/skill test which consist 50 marks. The final results are obtained from the written test and the skill test, and the candidates are chosen according to these scores.

1. It is advisable to adhere to the details such as age limit, educational qualification and other aspects as mentioned in the advertisement. For the candidates 5 years of experience in relevant field and B.Sc Nursing/GNM qualification along with the registered nursing council license is mandatory.
2. Application process is online at the official website of JSSC, but it is always advisable to apply through an @jssconline.org mail. One can visit the official website of the recruitment board of the government of Jharkhand by going to the URL of jssc.nic.in and then click on the apply online link for the Nurse Grade A posts.
3. If you are not yet registered on the portal, then please do make your registration. Fill the application form properly without any error and attach scanned images of photograph and signature.
4. Deposit the application fee online through the use of a credit/debit card or through net banking or through UPI Payment Gateway. Details of the fee payment will be communicated through the notification.
5. Take printout and retain the conformation page and fee payment receipt which contains the registration details.
6. Candidates will be issued admit cards a few weeks before the exam dates and it will contain the details of the exam including the date, time, and venue. Download it.
7. Attend a specific date and time for CBT written examination carrying the allowed documents and materials. It means that selection will be made based on the performance of the candidate in both the written test as well as the interview.
