The ISRO hires Scientific Assistants through the Scientific Assistant examination that is conducted once a year, to fill various positions in the ISRO centres and units. The exam for selection generally comprises of an objective-type written test and can include questions on general intelligence and reasoning ability, general awareness, and technical knowledge in Electronics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computers etc. It has been established quite a competitive market where tens of thousands of engineers and science graduates write an exam to be offered a handful of vacancies each year. 

The examination for the ISRO Scientific Assistant 2024 post will be held in the year 2024 and the official notification is expected to release in mid 2023 with the details of the total number of vacancies available for the post and the exam schedule.
