The Indian Navy conducts this examination in order to recruit individuals into different branches of Navy. The MR examination is held twice yearly for unmarried male Indian candidates who have passed the Class 10th standard with subjects in Mathematics, Science, and English. Some of the aspects include a written test which comprises of objective type questions with emphasis on general knowledge, Intelligence, English, Mathematics and Science. On the basis of the written examination performance, candidates are selected for physical standard test, medical examination and documents check. The list of category-wise selected candidates for further tests or the list of finally selected candidates is drawn up based on marks in the written examination and physical/medical tests.
The Indian Navy has not yet released the exam notification and schedule in relation to the MR exam 2024. Of course, the dates of the exams are normally specified about 4-5 months before the beginning on the official website joinindiannavy.gov.in. The result for the MR exam is announced after the written test and it generally takes about 1-2 months of the exam. To join the company, prospective employees are hired and after being trained they are deployed to the different branches. Training may take between six months and two years depending on the cadre employed. More so due to stiff competition, the survival rate for the MR exam is between 3-5 percent of the number of vacancies advertised.

1. Eligibility: First you must ensure that you qualify for the specific job in terms of age, educational standards and physical aspects as prescribed by the employer; for MR posts, must have been born between January 2, 1999 and July 1, 2004.
2. Application Form: Each year the Indian Navy releases the advertisement in September/October and the online application form is available in the Indian Navy website joinindiannavy.gov.in when the notification comes out in November/December 2023. Provide accurate details.
3. Upload Documents: Upload photograph, signature, marksheets of 10th/12th, domicile certificate, NCC certificate (if applicable). The file size and formats should be kept to the said size and formats
4. Exam City: You are required to select your desired exam location while completing an application form. This is where group discussions will be made and the exams will take place.
5. Fee Payment: You can pay the examination fee online in a similar manner using either debit card, credit card, or net banking, etc., which cost around Rs. 205 for general candidates.
6. Print Application: The last copy of the form you submitted is the final copy, so you can print it out.
7. Admit Card: You can download your admit card/hall ticket online once issued by the commission for the exam. Bring this along with any kind of identification for the exam.
