Electronic Common Hospitality Aptitude Test

The IIHM online entrance examination referred to as eCHAT, is the one executed by IIHM which is the reputable education institute providing undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in hospitality and culinary arts. The eCHAT test is an intensive online assessment that is used to measure a person’s relevance for a position in hospitality along with some basic knowledge about the industry. The assessment will include 50 multiple-choice type questions to be replied to in a span of 30 minutes. 

IIHM eCHAT, which is the first filtering tool to access higher studies in this institute across the country, will be helpful to get admissions in it. The final result of the eCHAT test will be the candidate’s score and the rank of the candidate relative to others in the pool. Candidates' scores can now be utilized to select them further for admission realizing that short list (shortlisted candidates) could be called for personal interviews and group discussions.

IIHM ECHAT Exam Day Guidelines 2024

- Be conversant with the type of and rules your exam follows by reading ahead so you don’t get caught up. Make sure that you follow the latest advisories and regulations by revisiting the website of your university.

- Be sure you make 8 hours of sleep the night before the exam, or you will find it difficult to keep your attention on the exam questions. Being well rested will save your sharpness and your focus.  

- Get there early on the exam day and take advantage of the time to relax yourself ad perhaps give a quick overview of your notes before the exam starts. 

- Pay attention to all directions of examination proctor and if something is unclear, feel free to get further explanation. 

- During the exam, divide your time effectively and allocate it appropriately. won't take too much time with one question in particular. Scratch off questions you don’t know the answer and revisit the ones that you find time to double check.

- Maintain your calmness and mental composure when writing your tests. Believe that the fact that you are prepared already leads you to deliver the high quality work.
