The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) conducts Engineering Services Examination in India to recruit qualified candidates for various engineering posts in the state of Gujarat. The objective of the examination is to select candidates for roles in the government sector in related fields like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering etc.

GPSC organizes the Engineering Services exam annually to fill up the civil service vacancies such as Deputy Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer and others in the different engineering departments of the Gujarat state government. The GPSC Engineering Services examination has three phases, namely prelims exam where the General Studies paper is written, mains examination with 3 technical papers, and the interview phase. The prelims exam being an elimination test, shortlists candidates for the mains exam fixing certain cut off marks. The mains exam focuses on checking on the academic knowledge and technical skills through description type papers. It is equally important to note that the final candidates have to go through document check and interview.

How to Apply for GPSC Engineering Services Exam 2024?

1. Examination: GPSC conducts Engineering Services Exam and releases the notification about the exam in the leading newspaper of India and on the official website of GPSC. First of all, the candidate should look at the details of the notification, such as the minimum qualification and age requirement, pattern of the exam, syllabus, selection method, application fee, etc The notification is generally released one year before the exam.

2. Registration/Login on GPSC Portal – The first step that every candidate must follow is to visit official GPSC website and register oneself by creating a profile. If you already have account, sign in to access the profile.  

3. Application Form – Apply for the position online by providing all the correct and necessary information as per the personal details, address, phone number, email id, education qualification, etc. 

4. A. Scan and Upload Photograph & Signature - The candidates must scan their passport size photograph, sign and all necessary documents as per the mentioned specifications in the notification.  

5. Fill and Submit the Exam Fee: The application fee must be paid through Net banking, Credit card, Debit card or SBI Bank. Confirm payment receipt.

6. Check details – Applicants should carefully review all the information they have provided in the application form and submit it before the stipulated time. After completion of the form, the applicant should get a print out of the completed application form along with the application number.

7. Admit Card – You are required to download your admit card/hall ticket through the dates announced. It can only be downloaded online from your applicant login portal for the relevant course you have applied for.
