The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a test which assesses the overall understanding of subjects from the undergraduate level in engineering and sciences for the admission to the postgraduate programme in Indian institutes, and also for some recruitments to the Public Sector Undertakings. GATE CE is one of the papers in GATE that is inclined towards covering the Chemical Engineering field. GATE Chemical Engineering syllabus consists of Engineering Mathematics, Process Calculation and Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Mechanical Operations, Heat Transfer, Mass Transfer, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Instrumentation and Process Control, Plant Design and Economic, Chemical Technology etc.
The GATE 2024 Chemical Engineering examination will take place on 4 February 2024. The exam shall be a three hours duration paper administered in the online computer-based test manner. The question paper shall include General Aptitude with 15 marks in addition to Engineering Mathematics and Core Chemical Engineering syllabus amounting to 85 marks. The results are usually out several weeks after the examinations. The candidates need to secure the maximum marks that are fixed by the board to be qualified and can get admissions for ME/M.Join a tech program in IITs / NITs, or get job opportunities in premier PSU organizations like Oil India, IOCL, GAIL, BPCL, etc. through the GATE Chemical Engineering score.
