The Employees State Insurance Corporation, also known as ESIC, holds the ESIC recruitment exam every year to fill numerous positions such as Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), and Stenographer. The ESIC exam is divided into three stages – preliminary exam where the questions are of MCQ (Multiple Correct Choices) type and test the candidates on general intelligence & reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude and English comprehension. Those who qualify prelims, they can sit for the mains which comprises of descriptive questions aimed at ascertaining adequate knowledge required for the posts.
The selected candidates depending upon their performance in mains are then summoned for computer skill test for stenography test where applicable. The cut off marks are released within a month along with the result of the ESIC prelims and mains exams on the official website. According to the recent news, the ESIC 2024 exam dates for the 3900 + Group C, D and other various vacancies include UDC, MTS and Steno are yet to be released which is expected in mid 2023. It is aimed to be conducted in the coming March 2024 for the preliminary test whereas for the mains descriptive examination, it will be conducted after a month.
