The ECGC Probationary Officer (PO) exam is an annual examination that is held and conducted by the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC), with a view to recruiting Probationary Officers. Since its inception, ECGC has offered export credit insurance services, which include assisting exporters and banks in India to support exports originating from India. In general, the ECGC PO exam is divided in 3 phases, namely the preliminary examination, mains examination and Interview. The preliminary examination is a written test of ninety questions which are meant to test the quantitative ability, logical reasoning and English proficiency. Those who qualify the preliminary exam for civil service then sit for the descriptive mains examination where they are tested on general awareness, English language, numerical ability and reasoning skills.
Finally come opted candidates who go for the Interview round. The candidates who appear in both Mains Exam and Interview are ranked on the basis of their obtained marks in Mains Exam and Interview. ECGC PO exam result is announced from time to time at ECGC’s official website according to different stages of selection process. The next ECGC PO exam is yet to be announced, the notification for which should be released by end of 2023. The prelims exam may be conducting in April-May 2024 while mains exam may be conducting in June-July 2024. The final result may be declared by August 2024 since the Academic session will commence from July 2024.

1. Eligibility: Clear the standard requirements such as age, quota, etc. Graduate degree with at least 55% marks is mandatory.
2. Application Form: When ECGC announces the PO exam, the application form will be released on the ECGC official portal via www.ecgc.in.
3. Registration: Sign up by entering all the necessary details on the form including your name, contact information and academic details etc.
4. Upload Documents: The specifications of the photograph, signature, age proof, educational qualification etc have to be scanned and uploaded.
5. Application Fee: A candidate also needs to pay the application as well as examination fee online through net banking, debit/credit card or through bank challan at any SBI branch only.
