The Chhattisgarh State Power Holding Company Limited (CSPHCL) holds the CSPHCL Junior Engineer exam every year in order to recruit candidates for the post of Junior Engineer in its departments. The examination is one of the most coveted one in the field of engineering across the state of Chhattisgarh. The CSPHCL JE examination consists of two papers, Paper I that includes general aptitude test with total 60 marks and Paper II that includes the sectional/subject specific test with total 240 marks. There is generally a minimum pass standard in both papers which candidates must obtain to qualify in the exam.
The test administered by the CSPHCL is moderately challenging, and a large number of engineers sit for the exam annually. The organisation of the exam has persisted for several years now and has included the following subjects: Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, and computer Science among others in Paper II, however, testing general intelligence, reasoning, numerical ability in Paper I.
