The Central Bank Apprentice examination is conducted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for the recruiting purpose of Assistant, Manager other posts. IBPS is one of the major banking exams conducted in India for selecting the talented candidates in the banking sector. It has been divided into three stages namely; Preliminary, Main and Interview. This is in addition to questions that tests the candidates’ general knowledge, quantitative reasoning, analytical ability and language proficiency as part of the preliminary exam. Aspirants who clear the prelims, are allowed to write the main exam for which questions are set on general English, banking/financial awareness, and descriptive writing abilities. The last step for the candidates is the interview where the companies shortlist them after passing through the online or written tests.
This exam is held every year as far as I know. According to the latest notice board, the main examination for recruitment of Apprentices to several posts in RBI is going to be conducted on 15.03.2024 and 16.03.2024. There will be about 250-300 types of vacancies and different levels of positions. It’s expected that admit card is likely to be released 10-15 days prior to the examination date. The final merit list as well as the appointment letters are given within two to three months after the exam. There are very few openings – total opening are very less and only 1-3 percent of the total candidates are selected at final stage. As for the exam pattern and the syllabi they are anticipated to be more or less the same as before with some modifications if there are any.
