BPTE stands for Bihar Primary Teacher Eligibility Test, a test which is conducted to recruit primary teachers for government primary schools in Bihar and it is conducted by BSEB, Bihar School Examination Board. It is conducted once a year, and the candidate who passes the test can teach classes one to five.
BPTE exam has two papers: Paper 1 is on teaching techniques, child psychology, and pedagogy Paper 2 is a subject-based test where candidates are tested on Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science and Science up to class 10 level. The test format involves multiple choice questions, short written description answers and long descriptive answers. More than 1,15,000 candidates take the fiercely competitive examination annually.

2. It is crucial to make sure that you satisfy the legal requirements of employment as set by the Bihar Education Department regarding age, education level, etc.
3. Once the registration for the application is open, one must complete it and register on the official website. Sign up with the details to come up with a login.
4. While applying for the Bihar teacher job, make sure you complete the Bihar teacher application form properly. Fill in the right personal, contact and education details as required in the section.
5. Scanned images of photograph, signature, and documents should be uploaded in the said formats as prescribed. Make sure that the documents are comprehensive, accurate and genuine.
6. Make the application fee payments through online modes of payments using payment gateway links given. Always keep the receipt for future use and reference.
7. There will be acknowledgment number generated once the form is submitted, so, one can download and take a print out of it for future use.
8. Check yourself the status of the application with your login details from time to time. Correct any mistakes made before the last date possible.
9. Preserve and move the admit card for the exam once the possibility arises. Go to the exam center as per the schedule given in the admit card and the rules and regulation specified by the respective authorities.
