The Teachers Graduate Training (TGT) examination is held every year by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) for selection of teachers/trainers for Army Public Schools spread across the country. The AWES TGT examination is focused to employ individuals who are highly motivated and capable of imparting quality education to the children of Army personnel. It examine the teaching abilities and subject knowledge of the candiates which involves English, Maths, Science, Social Sciences, Hindi, Sanskrit, Computer Science, etc.
AWES TGT 2024 examination may take place in the month of July-August, 2024 for getting the eligibility criteria for the candidates who have post-graduation degrees in their respective subjects. The CBSE TGT exams will be held in offline mode in multipe shifts and will consist of objective multiple choice questions. Earlier, the outcomes of the prior examination have been made public after 6-8 weeks of the examination. As mentioned above, some of the candidates are interviewed after the examination and then final merit list is prepared. One can apply for a teaching position to serve in the Defence communication and avail this opportunity by preparing the following exams in the recommended manner as given on the preparatory guidelines on the AWES website. The total selection process usually takes approximately 90- 120 days.

The official number of vacancies for the AWES TGT 2024 exam is yet to be announced. However, based on previous years' trends and the growing demand for teachers in Sainik Schools, we can expect a decent number of openings across various subjects. The vacancies are likely to be distributed across different regions and subjects, with higher concentration in established Sainik Schools.
