AP ECET (Andhra Pradesh Common Engineering Entrance Test) is one of the state level entrance exams conducted every year by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur for APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education) admission to 2nd year of the courses i.e. B.E/B.Tech/Pharmacy. The test questions HCE students about the subjects they covered in the first year B.E./B.Tech. Courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering Drawing are examples of our offerings. AP ECET management, every year, is in May month of the year. In 2023, the AP ECET exam is scheduled on 6 August and the results are expected to be released on dates within the range of 10-15 days. These candidates who pass the qualifying round are invited for counseling, and based on which seats will go to the participating engineering colleges, lateral entry admissions for the year are allotted. For the 2024 examination, the date of May 11, 2024 is expected to be the test, and it should be possible to get the results by May 25th 2024. It is that notification pointing out dates and time that will be issued not sooner than a month before the entrance exam by JNTUA.

- The outcome of the seat allotment is put on the scheme of AP ECET website at the address sche.ap.gov.in. Candidates should first get their login credentials by inputting their hall ticket number and date of birth. They can then find out their college and branch of choice.
- Seat allotment is done online through web counselling system, which considers the rank of the candidate, the preferences filled, category, and the gender entered. The candidates have to login after every round of allotment to get the latest information about their seat allotment.
- Along with the AP ECET site there is also possibility of checking the allotment status on colleges' websites that the candidate has been allotted to. The candidates are instructed to complete the necessary details and save the pdf letter indicating college and branch mentions to their system.
- The college to which the student was applied is where he/she has to report as per schedule and pay their admission/tuition fees which will also proceed with the confirmation of allotted seat. If the college does not report, it results in missing all of the seats allocated.
