The AOC Material Assistant examination is a recruitment test organized by the Indian Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) to select personnel for the Material Assistant position. DTR is one of the major technical and clerical examination held every year for the recruitment of candidates in ordnance units / establishments under AOC.
The AOC Material Assistant exam has a written test that has four categories of tests which include General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General English and General Awareness. Passing marks require at least 40% of the total attempts and 33% of the attempts in each subject must be obtained to proceed further. The Principal’s list, the first selection list and the second selection list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the written test.

Numerical Aptitude
Number systems, computation of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions, ratios and proportions, percentages, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, mensuration, time and distance, time and work
General Awareness
Current affairs (national and international), Indian history and geography, basic science, political system, defense forces, economics, general knowledge on India and the world
History of Indian Army, Indian Military Organization, Military ranks and insignia, Awards and honors of the Indian Army, Basic knowledge of weapons and equipment
