The PG Diploma in Defence Technology is a one year specialised postgraduate diploma of Defence Technology that aims to impart the academic discourses and skills related to Defence Technology. The program includes an introduction to all defence engineering principles from weapons systems to missiles, to combat vehicles, naval technology, aeronautical engineering, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, electronic warfare, cyber security and other related fields.
Each student receives a brief lecture on the newest discoveries and innovations in the sector of defence. The course encompasses both lectures in the classrooms and technical training to set those relevant skills in place. 1. The candidate must have graduated from a university accredited with at least a bachelor degree in engineering or technology, with an average of not less than 60%.
2. The candidates who have done a Bachelor's degree in science with physics, chemistry and mathematics can as well apply; they should however have at least a CGPA of 60% for their aggregate marks.
3. Solar training workshops is open to students of Science, Engineering or Technology class of final year Bachelor degree students as well. But they are required to hand over their final grade sheet at the admission time as well.
4. All individuals who have completed the Section A &B of the AMIE examination on the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India from Aeronautical Engineering also qualify for this course.
5. The ones whose services or who have been retired from defence services with a bachelor's degree in any discipline and a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in their qualifying examination will be eligible for applying under sponsored category.

1. Candidates should BTech/BE in aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, computer, or instrumentation engineering.
