In India, the MA in Journalism and Mass Communication is two-year postgraduate degree program whose objective is to help students work in media and communication industries. The program carry out over a period of two years (2 years) and is made up of semesters that are usually four and are designed to equip the students with a holistic knowledge of the different aspects of journalism and strategic communication.
The curriculum of the MA Journalism and Mass Communication includes studying the media basics and the contemporary journalistic practices applied in fields such as print, broadcasting, new media, public relations, advertising, media laws and ethics. 1. Bachelor's Degree
You should be having at least a graduation degree in any discipline with 50% minimum marks from the University of a recognized body. As well, we welcome students graduating in their final year too.
2. Entrance Test
A majority of the colleges will test applicants for the MA Journalism course through their own entry examinations. Some occasional exams like CUET, IIMC Entrance Exam or BHU PET etc. form a part of the entrance exam.
3. Work Experience
While many institutes choose candidates with past work experience in journalism or media, others look for an individual with good knowledge of foreign policy and international relations. Different from experienced teachers, nevertheless, the fresh graduates also have the right to be considered for job openings. Although having past job experience means that having minimum grades criterion may be flexible.
4. Language Proficiency
Being fluent with coherent writing, reading and communicative skills in English are very important. Knowledge of an additional Indian language is a symbol of recognition at media companies and other branches that operate on a regional basis.
5. General Aptitude
