The Doctor of Medicine (MD) in physiology is a 3-year Masters level medical degree chosen by medical practitioners to specialize in human and animal physiology. Students are instructed on how to interpret the regulatory mechanisms that control the essential physiological processes and how to link them to disease identification and management. 

This MD Physiology curriculum includes coursework on foundations of physiology like cellular and systemic physiology, genetics, central and peripheral nervous system, circulatory, respiratory, renal  and gastroenterology, endocrinology, reproductive biology and exercise physiology among other core concepts. Besides, students learn genetics, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, biophysics and molecular biology to their curriculum.

MD Physiology Admission 2024

1. Should get it complete as MBBS from a reputable medical college.

2. Minimum- 55% marks in MBBS shall be considered for eligibility. 

3. Have to be qualified in minimum percentile in NEET-PG entrance test.

4. They should be exposed to regular patient contacts and rotatory internship from hospitals which are listed as MCI recognized hospitals.

5. Given the merits of the students who have qualified according to the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) ranking, academic scores, and interview performance.

MD Physiology Course Eligibility 2024

1. Take the required life sciences, chemistry, physics with passing grades and mathematics courses.

2. Good academic standing with the minimum GPA requirement, usually around 85, or even higher, to be considered. 

3. Lower or the upper second-year level undergraduate standing.

4. Finished basic biology and chemistry course sequences (introduction biology 101/102 and chemistry 105/106).

5. The course needs departmental clearance and the consent of the instructor to get enrolled.

6. Some programs have also an extra pre-requisites which are anatomy, microbiology, and biochemistry courses.
