Instrumentation Engineering Diploma is a diploma level course that has a duration of 3 years and the study is based in the field of instrumentation and control engineering. This course offers various training in areas such as; process control, design and development of instruments, measurement, and control of various process variables like flow, temperature, pressure, level, etc. Diploma curriculum primarily covers theoretical knowledge and practical training of process control equipment, sensors, transmitters, microprocessors. 

The normal length of the course is three academic years consisting of six semesters in Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering. There are also some institutes which provide lateral entry facilities where the students who have done ITI can seek direct admission for second semester of the diploma course. Some of the entrance exams that are recognized for taking admission in instrumentation engineering diploma programs are JCECE (Jharkhand Common Entrance Competitive Examination), Polytechnic Common Entrance Test of the particular state in which the particular college.

Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Course Eligibility

1. Science with minimum 50% aggregate in 10th standard from and recognized board of education.  

2. At least 45% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics in the 10th standard examinations.

3. There is no restriction towards age in the case of admission to the diploma courses. Anyone who meets the requirement can apply regardless of the level of experience, whether you are a fresher or a working professional.

Diploma (Instrumentation Engineering) Entrance Exams

1. JEECUP: Syllabus comprises of physics chemistry and mathematics and is conducted by UPJEE for admission to diploma courses in UP only. 

2. CET: Most of the states conduct Common Entrance Test for admission into the diploma engineering colleges in respective states, and these tests are aptitude and knowledge based tests.

Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Admission 2024

1. Check the admission criteria – minimum qualification required for admission is 10+2 with science stream having Physics, Chemistry & Maths. 

2. Application forms can be collected either online from the institute site or can be taken from the institute office.

3. Profile registration form to be filled up with personal and academic information along with the field of interest.
