Diploma in Modeling is a diploma level course which is of one to two year duration and aimed to provide knowledge and training in modeling for students who are interested in making career in the glamour world. The subjects covered in the syllabi are the ramp walk training, training sessions with professional photographers for portfolio, acting and dancing classes, personality development classes, training with nutritionist and physical trainers. At the college level, students get to know different techniques of makeup, styling, pageant training, and theoretical ideas about the profession. 

As for the admission procedure, there are no exams on the entrance for those willing to study at the Diploma in Modeling course. It is normally followed by an interviewing session in which a candidate has to face personality factors that include confidence, appearance and ability to speak in-front of an audience. Some institutes require the conduct of auditions in order to determine a candidate’s ability to walk on ramp in heels, posing abilities, and camera friendly looks.

1. The candidate must have passed his/ her 10+2 examination from any recognized board with minimum 50% average percentage of the total marks.

2. This age group is usually within the ages of 16 to 22 years of age for most teams. As for age, there are certain categories for which an upper age limit is granted.  

3. This has standards where for the females Models they have to be at least 5’7 while for male Models they have to be at least 5’11. This could be done by allowing 2 inches of relaxation in some cases.

4. They should be in good health and have good body built with appropriate facial features and charisma.

5. Must have passion in modeling fashion and glamour fields and able to travel a lot.  

6. Should be willing to be groomed to walk the ramp, model, act and get fit during the diploma course duration which may take 1 to 2 years.

1. Select the type of modeling area that you’re interested in such as fashion modeling, commercial modeling, etc.; the next step to take is to study diploma courses and institutes.

2. Some of the things to look for when analyzing the course requirements include: minimum qualifications, age limits and height should one be applying for a certain course. 

3. Complete application form, write an essay explaining the reasons for applying, compile a portfolio if necessary and gather other documents needed before the deadline of application.  

4. If shortlisted, appear for entrance tests and interviews, or, for arts students, auditions that are conducted by the institute.

5. After that, go through formalities related to admission process including fees payment, documentation and are signing contracts.

6. Pay for any tools, kits Or uniforms needed on orientation and start attending classes for the diploma course.
