Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) (Chemical Engineering) is a 3 years diploma programme offered in the discipline of chemical engineering. This diploma program exposes the students to core concepts or areas such as fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer, thermodynamics, chemical reaction engineering, process instrumentation and control, chemical technology, environmental engineering and others. The course also develops the design aspect of the program and to this end, students are trained practically in laboratories. 

The entrance exam accepted for admission to Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) (Chemical Engineering) are JEECUP (Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh) CET by state government and Direct Admission on the basis of marks at 10th class. Some institutes also have their own entrance exams as well\. Besides the above mentioned conditions and qualifications, students who have done their ITI in concerned trade can secure direct admission. For lateral entry for diploma, even those who finished class 12th in Science stream.
