Certificate in Bakery and Confectionery is one-year diploma with a goal of teaching students to the art and science of baking and creation of confectionery goods. Students find out about the products of baking namely breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, chocolates and many others, which are made using ingredients, equipment and processes that are relevant to the bakery industry.
Among the subjects of the lesson there are bakery hygiene and safety, bakery product chemistry, bread and bakery products, cake and pastry production, chocolate and sugar confectionery, food styling and decoration, price and cost calculation of product and so on. Students are given in-depth academic knowledge and undergo a wide range of practical training in bakeries laboratories to build valuable skills.
Diploma in Bakery and Confectionery Admission Process
1. Age restriction- between 18 and 35.
2. We are seeking secondary school graduates (10+2) from the recognized board who have attained a minimum of 50% marks.
3. What a waste it is not to have studied Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in 10+2 and who knows, in future might feel the need for the same subjects.
4. Eligibility to study determined by the score of examination conducted during the merit based entry path.
5. 1 year course of full-time education, divided into two semesters with exams at the end of each semester
6. Fees approx. Rs. 50,000-1 lakh per year (without allowing for expensive on-campus housing and books).
7. Topics range from the science of pastries, chocolate making, preparation of fresh foods, nutrition etc.

9. The options being considered as a pastry maker, baker or chocolatier or even as an entrepreneur.
1. Educational Qualification: The candidates should have qualified 10th standard from a state board; otherwise they would be deemed ineligible for the course.
2. Age Limit: You will simply be required to meet the accepted academic requirements to be eligible for enrollment. Admission chances are available for those who do not matter whether they have not even completed a high school yet or they are already a postgraduate.
3. Work Experience: Works at the bakery or confectioner field, previous experience is not necessary. This training is suitable for both first-timers without any work experiences and those willing to increase their skills in handling stressful situations.
4. Physical Fitness: The candidates are expected to be in good health and be able do jobs like making the dough, to carry ingredients, to stand for long hours etc. Candidate’s should be completely healthy and have no major health problems.
Mathematics Test: Critically assess basic mathematical skills required for measurements, conversions and recipe calculations which are essential when it comes to bakery and confectionery.
English Language Proficiency Test: Evaluate the reading, writing, and communication skills needed for reading directions, recipes and for communicating with clients and co-workers.
Practical Test: Show live skills in baking, cake decoration, pastry making and confectionary techniques with time constraints to access and evaluate the level of skill and possible own production.
