The Diploma in Electrical Engineering as a 3-year diploma program is considered a practical training program of electrical systems, as well as electrical equipment and installations. To apply for admission, a candidate must possess senior secondary examination qualification in the core subjects physics, chemistry and mathematics or the equivalent.
The curriculum for the diploma course covers the basic engineering topics like the Theory of Electric Circuits, Network Analysis, and Electric Machines along with the system level aspects of Power System, special papers like Motor Control, Utilization of Electric Energy and Estimation & Costing of Electrical Work among others. Students will have a theoretical session of practical training and after that lab work and workshops will get them through the details of electrical wiring, machine windings, domestic & industrial appliance repairs.
