Diploma in Art and Craft course is a 2-3 years diploma course with the aim of giving practical skills among the students in different art and craft fields. Sculpture, painting, sketches, designing, sewing, pottery, jewelries making, rangoli making are taught in this course Duration of Diploma in Art and Craft needs 2 years if a candidate passed 10th stand and 3 years if a candidate passed 8th standard. It is taught in many art and craft institutes across India alongside open universities/colleges and IGNOU.
There is merit through the qualifying examination which is 10th or 8th standard in this school. Some institutes may have their own written test which may include basic mathematical calculations and reasoning ability of the applicant and sometimes there may be an art test.
