Indian Institute of Cost Accountants (ICAI) is the administering body for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential in India. The CMA program in the particular domain of cost and management accounting, financial management, taxation, and other areas such as auditing. The program is a professional certification course which targets anyone with interests in accounting, finance or management careers.

CMA program courses in India encompass the three levels: Foundation, Intermediate, and Final. The Course on the Foundations concentrates on the formation of accountancy fundamental with subjects as basic economic and management. The Intermediate levels widens one’s knowledge of the accounting terminologies   like  cost accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and laws. In the Last level we will delve deep into specialized topics of financial management, cost reduction, and more advanced managerial tactics.

Certified Management Accountant [CMA] Admission Process

1. To get admission in BCom Investment Management, applicants should have passed 12th grade with commerce subjects in their curriculum and must have obtained at least 50% marks. 

2. The admission criteria vary from college to college as some colleges hold their own entrance examinations, while some college consider only performance on exams like CMAT. You require to review the admission criteria for all the universities you are applying for to familiarize yourself with them.

3. The process of organizing an application begins in May-June every year. You are required to produce, fill and submit the application form on time while providing the necessary documents.  

4. Every social media handle must produce the latest mark sheet of 12th grade, school leaving certificate, character certificate, etc. also, application fees needs to be paid.

5. When you apply and fulfill the demands, you will then be required to go for group discussion or personal interview which happens to be the last stage before you are finally admitted.

6. The course fees is estimated from INR 50,000 to 3 lakh (it varies from college to college). Some other colleges, however, offer financial aid in line with 12th class scores.

Certified Management Accountant [CMA] Eligibility

1. It is important that you have a bachelor's degree in any of the field from an accredited college or university for you to be considered for the CMA program. There is no specified major to become eligible.

2. Your job application must be accompanied by 2 consecutive years occupational experience as a senior accountant and/or financial manager. To the degree that this job experience has been done by a supervisor, it is necessary to present such documents. Internships do not qualify. 

3. You will need to know something in 12 problems which are found in a CMA exam. These problems cover the area of financial reporting, planning, budgeting & forecasting. Many aspirants find this knowledge through preparing for the certification class.

4. You are expected to have a marksman behavior and also take an oath to follow the IMA Ethical Code of Professional Conduct. Background checks are performed. 

5. The employment in management accounting and other related finance positions is mandatory to the applicants for certifications. Of course, joining the IMA is not mandatory.

6. You ought to satisfy all the education as well as experience prerequisites by the time you are ready to take either section of the CMA exam.
