The Certificate Course in Physiotherapy is a diploma level course that is of short term duration with the aims of developing basic knowledge and skills in the student to work as physiotherapy assistant. This course takes between 6-12 months and covers area such as human anatomy and physiology, disease processes, fundamentals of physiotherapy, and allied therapies, electro physiotherapy, and the basics of physiotherapy interventions. The program also involves students to gain practical experience through affiliation with several hospitals and clinics.
Currently, it is acceptable to note that there are no formal entrance examination that one needs to sit for in order to be admitted to the Certificate in Physiotherapy program. The least level of academic standard expected from the candidate is 10+2 or equivalent qualification and the candidate should have Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects. Some institutes conduct their own qualifying written test and interview to judge the candidate’s aptitude and interest or passion in the field. Decisions to admit students are usually informed by cumulative academic achievement, performance in the admission process of the institute and general ability to pursue this paramedical programme.

1. Science stream completed 10+2 exam with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology conducted by any recognized board of education.
2. Any student in Class 12 can apply provisionally for the admission in the respective courses provided that he/she fulfills the above mentioned conditions.
