B.Sc Biotechnology is an Undergraduate Course which takes a duration of 3 to 4 years to complete. This program offers the grasp of the fundamental notion in biotechnology which include genetic engineering molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology and BIO-process Engineering. Manipulation of organisms and biological systems to produce products, modify plants and animals and engineer microorganisms for various purposes is an area students learn in this segment. In this course students build on Biology, chemistry, molecular genetics, immunology, and bioinformatics among other subjects.

The B.Sc (Biotechnology) admission tests are mostly national level entrance tests like IIT JEE Main, VITEEE, BITSAT, KIITEE, WBJEE, COMEDK-UGET, CET (Maharashtra), OJEE, AP-EAMCET. Students are also given admission on the basis of their class 12 examination marks, like CBSE, ICSE, Board of State or diploma qualifying examination. B.Sc Biotechnology: Some college set their own aptitude tests for the admission in B.Sc Biotechnology program.
