BDes in Animation is 4-year undergraduate program which has been developed to prepare students in all the components of the animation film design, such as pre-production, production, and post-production. The curriculum involves a comprehensive understanding of the 2D and 3D animation workflow, as well as in visual effects, film editing, storyboarding, character design, audio production, and its other components.
Through the given years period, students will be taught about cinema idea generation, pre-production, production, and post-production features of animation films and visual arts. The course taught not only the classical 2D and advanced 3D computer graphics (CG) animation methods. Students experience working on personal as well as the group projects in all modern lab class rooms equipped with the latest software like Maya, Blender, adobe suite and others.

1. Enrolments through online or offline mode with 10+2 marks, portfolio and SOP will be accepted.
2. The creators of a selection test are given the shortlisted candidates to conduct a design aptitude test and interview.
3. Observing students' results, they can be sent provisional letters of acceptance.
4. Check in and present migration certificate for final confirmation of admission, paying the fees which accompany this.
5. Be oriented as well as attend classes where training takes place.
6. In your first year, start with the foundation subjects and then narrow down your major.
7. Get the exposure from the industry by means of conducting the internship and projects in final years of study.
1. Educational Qualification: Only those candidates are eligible who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream. i.e. science, commerce or arts from a recognized board.
2. Minimum Marks: There is always a minimum percentage required to get into a college and it is mostly 50% aggregate in higher secondary exams. Some of the top colleges expect you to score 60 percent or 65 percent marks aggregate.
3. Subjects Studied: In this course there is no compulsory choosing of the subjects. This program is suitable for students from all academic backgrounds such as Science, Commerce or Arts as they can participate as well in the proposed program.
4. Entrance Tests: Colleges could be another main managing body that organizes their own entrance test for this course admission. The test is used to measure a candidate's creativity, communication skills and analytical skills.
5. Portfolio: In the long of this applicants are usually taken through a portfolios of their creative work such as sketches, paintings, animations and films. The portfolio is later evaluated to determine whether one is actually creative.
6. Interview: Apart from entrance tests, college may arrange for a personal interview or group discussion where the candidates may be judged on how strong are their interests, communication skills, creative thinking, and aptitude for animation career.
NID Entrance Exam: National Institute of design will be running this examination to evaluate the aptitude, creativity and observation power in the candidates who apply for the B.Des Animation Film Design program.
UCEED: Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED), which is used for admissions to various design courses - i.e. Animation Film Design - primarily judges aspirants' abilities in design, visual perception, and drawing skills.
Pearl Academy Entrance Exam: The main aim of this exam is to test the candidates' creativity and art potential in order for them to get enrolled into the B.DES Animation program at the Pearl Academy.
MIT Institute of Design DAT: Through the Aptitude Test for Humanities Design by the MIT Institute of Design, candidates' drawing skills, ability to think creatively, and out-of-the-box thinking for the B.Des Animation Film Design program is evaluated.
Srishti Entrance Exam: Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology administers this exam in order to judge candidates' creative and design potential for selecting the right candidates for the B.Des Animation course.
