Bachelor of Design [B.Des] (Animation) Overview 2024 FAQs

Studying students are usually meant to have competence in animation software like Adobe Animate, Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D, and Toon Boom Harmony to be at the top list.

You can be enrolled in university specialization courses dealing with 2D animation, 3D animation, character animation, visual effects or motion graphics.

Others may have partnerships with university overseas or offer summer/winter programs of study abroad, through which their students can broaden their horizons and experience different cultures of animation.

Animation techniques, in most cases, are pervasively conceived to be fundamental, because they are the basic elements of animation. Students frequently have to demonstrate their knowledge of anatomy, perspective, and design using characters.

The demonstration of your artistic abilities such as drawings, sketches, animations (if any), character designs, boards of stories and any other creative work that might fall in the same line is good here.

Most institutions have established links with animation studios, production companies, or other industry partners through internships or work placements that provide students with practical experience and the ability to gain knowledge from mentors and colleagues.
