The BDS program is a 5-year undergraduate course in a faculty of dentistry. The course imparts training in topics comprising human anatomy and physiology as well as those of biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology and microbiology along with specialties like orthodontics, periodontics, conservative dentistry and oral medicine. Students are offered clinical aspect that is hands-on, this is done during the course. 

Students are required to study this program for 4 years and then they have to undergo a 1 compulsory year of rotatory internship at a dental hospital or a clinic. The curriculum is made up not only by theoretical classroom lectures, but also by practicable labs and clinical activities. The first 2 years of study are designed to begin at the level of basic medical sciences and to cover for this, advanced dental subjects are dealt with in the later years.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery [BDS] Admission Process

1. Qualify in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects as main. End the first sentence with a full stop and begin the second sentence with a new sentence: Achieve a minimum aggregate of 50%.

2. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) should be attended by applying to National Testing Agency (NTA) through online mode. Qualify by obtaining a percentile score under the cut-off.

3. While applying to colleges, write your application online or offline. Fill up the form with all information like NEET score, 10+2 marks, personal details etc.. 

4. Testing such a prediction is not likely to be directly possible due to the nature of the event, even if some people with lower scores are selected. Give original papers for testing. Parlance with choice list to pick a dental college and a course.

5. Seating allocation is the next step; attend the counseling session and pay applicable fees. Thereafter, complete the admission by submitting required documents within the stated due date.

6. Get all your documents enrolled and register yourself within the first week of the new session starting. Attend orientation and be there in time for new classes. Maintain the following requirements for attendance as per the standard.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery [BDS] Eligibility

1. For the eligibility candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam included physics, chemistry, and biology as the main subjects. Achieved minimum 50% aggregate mark (40% if you are from reserved categories).

2. Run candidates that will pass the NEET-UG entrance exam. Qualify only if you score well and get hold of marks above the cut-off. NEET score is one of the main criteria that admissions office considers for the BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) colleges. 

3. Meet the age limit criteria to ensure you make this. Maximum age for that is 25 years for general category. Taking recreation with limited number of people as per established categories for reserved groups.

4. In applying, indicate the colleges you want to enroll at. Inspect their minimum eligibility requirements based on NEET score. Allocating seats and counseling for students in accordance with the merit list.
