BCom Banking and Insurance major is a 3 years undergrad program that gives students in depth knowledge regarding the banking and insurance industries. The curriculum in this major focuses on the known academic areas like finance management, economics, banking, and other specializations.

The course covers most of the major subjects of banking which include banking fundamentals, banking law and practice, banking theory, insurance law and principle, non-life and life insurance, financial institutions and their roles and so on. The plan imparts students with useful abilities such as examine financial statements, risk management, grasping regulatory policies, selling of insurance premia, etc. 

B.Com Banking and Insurance Admission Process

1. Ensure that you are eligible for the course, the browsing criteria are set by the universities including 12th marks, subject etc. 


2. Sift through list of the accredited colleges by the regulatory agencies which provide your chosen specialty.  


3. Apply either online or institution-based, by submitting academic transcripts and paying application fee.  


4. Write college admission test if there is such possibility or be anxious for your name to be announced on the merit list.


5. Come and attend counseling session according to your rank/ merit and pick up your college and course of study preferences.  


6. After seats have been allotted through the admission formalities make a full payment and submit necessary documents in due time.

B.Com Banking and Insurance Eligibility

1. Get an aggregate of 50% and above at the 10+2 level or an equivalent exam from a board registered with a recognized education council. 

2. Candidacy is open to all streams including humanities (Arts), commerce, economy as well as science.  

3. This is the advantage for having no age limits to students who are willing to enroll

4. In addition, students who aspire this course, regardless of their gender, are free to follow it.  

5. The eligible contestants can be selected from those who are appearing for their 10+2 examination too. 

6. At some institutes, the entrance test is conducted for the applicants whereas at others; admission is granted directly on the basis of 10+2 marks.

B.Com Banking and Insurance Entrance Exams

IPU CET (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test): The candidates' knowledge in the subjects like Economics, Mathematics, and General Awareness, is assessed, and suitability of the candidates for BCom Banking and Insurance programs with the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is determined.

PU CET (Punjab University Common Entrance Test): Included Economics, Mathematics, Banking Awareness sections that tested students for B.Com Banking & Insurance courses at Punjab University.

AMU Entrance Exam (Aligarh Muslim University Entrance Exam): Marks the competence of a candidate in subjects such as Economics, Mathematics, and English, determining the entry eligibility for the BCom Banking and Insurance programs at AMU.

DUET (Delhi University Entrance Test): Contains Economics, Mathematics and General Awareness topics evaluating candidates' eligibility for BCom Banking and Insurance subjects offered by Delhi University.

JMI Entrance Exam (Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam): Tests candidates' knowledge in Economics, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning, which are further used for the selection process by the candidates eligible for Banking and Insurance programs at JMI.
