BBA Data Science is an undergraduate program that prepares students with skills in data analysis and management, statistical methods, machine learning algorithms and how to implement them in actual business operations. This is a 3 year full time course that offers preparation in tools such as python, excel which is used in analysis of data. Analytics capstone projects are also included by some institutes in the curriculum to expose students to real-life situations in the industry. The curriculum addresses both basic concepts and techniques such as statistics, optimization, calculus etc and modern technologies such as Hadoop, Spark etc.
The entrance criteria for the BBA Data Science program consists only the 12th board pass with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Some of the institutes admit the applicant on the national level tests such as JEE Mains, IUET, SET/ULSAT, CUCET Exam along with the marks of 12th standard. Another part of the admission process is that some colleges have their own entrance tests as well.
