The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Animation is a postgraduate course emphasis on teaching students animation art and craft. The time spent on the course is 3 years, and the total number of semesters is 6.
The curriculum presents a good synopsis dilating on a broad range of the 2D and 3D animation. Students will cover lessons on these animation principles like storyboarding, character designing, visual effects, 3D modelling, texturing, lighting and background artwork. 1. See if you meet the requirements of animation course like subjects joined, scores of minimum marks, portfolios needed etc. Go through the intro of animation program which included overview, curriculum, faculty, internships, etc for better understanding of the program.

BA Animation Course Eligibility 2024
1. BBA will be open to the 10+2 pass class in any stream from a recognized board. The students who have the intermediate level qualifications which primarily comprises of arts, science, and commerce fields can now apply for animation degrees after finishing them.
2. The final cutoff marks may range between 50-60% from the basic requirement of 12th class examinations of every college. Others put a certain percentage of marks as their pass mark for admission.

NID Entrance Exam: National Institute of Design (NID) conducts an entrance test in Animation which includes Design Aptitude Test (DAT), Prelims and Mains measuring candidate's aptitude for design, creativity and visual perception which is demanded in animation.
MITID DAT: The DAT (Design Aptitude Test) from the Instruction of Design of MIT evaluates the drawing skills, creativity, observation , and design thinking, which supports animation.
SEED: The Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) tests the scholarly aptitude, creative minds, observation skills and problem solving skills and those are directly linked to animation.
