The JEE Main 2024 counselling process will begin after the declaration of final ranks by NTA based on students' performance in JEE Main 2024 and Class 12 board exams. Counselling will be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for admission to NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions. The counselling will consist of multiple rounds of seat allocation where students have to choose/modify their choices, pay seat acceptance fees, report at allotted institutes to confirm admission etc.
JEE Main is the national level examination conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for admission to the first-year undergraduate courses offered in various disciplines of Engineering and Architecture in Indian institutions. I am speaking of a computer-based test comprising multiple choice questions in physics, chemistry and mathematics. JEE Main is a national level engineering entrance examination which is conducted twice in a year – the January exam and the April exam. Similar to the previous examination, in this case it is the best score between the two sessions of the candidate that is considered. Finally, after obtaining the necessary ranks, candidates can seek admission to NITs, IIITs and other government-aided technical institutions.
