IIT Delhi Eligibility Criteria 2024
1. Educational Qualification
It is required that you have cleared the Class 12th examination with not less than 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) or equivalent examination like JEE Main. You should not be older than 25 years to pursue BTech degree.
2. Pass JEE Advanced Exam
Appear either in January or in April for JEE (Main) exam, score enough marks to make it to the JEE (Advanced) exam, register for the JEE (Advanced) by filling the form online, paying the fees and downloading the admit card, appear for the JEE (Advanced) exam that aims to check your knowledge of physics, chemistry, and mathematics, and score more than the cut-off
3. Apply for Counselling
If you are able to meet JEE Advanced cut-off, then you can apply for joint seat allocation by filling up your choices of IITs and courses. Go for counselling when JoSAA counselling board calls. As per your rank, multiple choices filled, and seats availability, you will be assigned a seat in the IIT Delhi BTech program respectively.
4. Document Verification
If provided with a seat, you have to upload documents like 10th/12th marksheets, JEE score cards etc. for verification. Physically submit documents at reporting center within a stipulated time for claiming the seat allocated to you. Pay seat acceptance fee as per instructions.
IIT Delhi Courses Details 2024
IIT Delhi offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in various engineering and science disciplines. Some of the popular courses are BTech programs in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical and Civil Engineering among others. At the postgraduate level, MTech programs are offered in disciplines like Machine Learning, Robotics, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering, etc. along with MSc programs in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
The total course fees for the 4-year BTech program is around ?3-4 lakhs while MTech and MSc programs charge 20,000-50,000 per semester. Research programs like MSR and PhD also have semester fees in similar range. Financial aid in the form of half and full tuition fee waivers are available for deserving students.

IIT Delhi Admission Process 2024
1. Attend JEE Advanced Exam
JEE Advanced is an exam that is conducted for admission into IITs. For JEE Advanced, if you are not within the top 2.5 lakh ranks in JEE Main, you won't be able to appear for it.
2. Opening & Closing Ranks Check
JEE Advanced results are outposted by IIT Delhi and the institute publishes the opening and closing ranks for different programs. Make sure your ranking is in the given range.
3. Fill Colleges under JoSAA Allocation
JoSAA counselling is held for IIT admissions. Enter in the order of preference of IIT Delhi programs for which you have applied.
4. Seat Allotment Results
The seat allotment process during each counselling round will be based on your JEE Advanced rank, choices filled and availability.
5. Sit On Allotted Seat & Document Checking
If you are agreeable with the assigned seat, then you have to accept the seat, make payment and have your documents verified.
6. Appear at the allotted IIT for Admission
Lastly, report at IIT Delhi on the stipulated date for admission formalities and the commencement of your course. This is where admissions get processed.
